    Broodbox uses thermal images to estimate the population density and number of actives frame in beehives. Simply capture a thermal image of the hive with the camera we supply, upload the image to our cloud-based platform. Our algorithms analyze the heat patterns and determine the number of active frames in each hive. This method is not only less disruptive to the bees, but it also boasts an impressive accuracy.

    We use advanced computer vision

    We use advanced computer vision algorithms and probabilistic modeling to estimate the population density in beehives and translate that into pollination outcomes. In this process, we merge population estimates with hyper-localized weather data and estimate the probability of having bees in any location of the farm or orchard. Our models boast more than 80% accuracy in population estimation and are capable of discerning changes in as little as 15 minutes, demonstrating their exceptional sensitivity and precision in monitoring the dynamic ebb and flow of bees.
